Woodley Park

Woodley Park is a neighborhood located in the Northwest quadrant of Washington, D.C., surrounded by the communities of Mount Pleasant, Adams Morgan, Cleveland Park, Massachusetts Heights, and Woodland-Normanstone Terrace.

During the late 1800s, the neighborhood was known for having a significant number of summer homes owned by affluent residents, among them former Presidents Grover Cleveland and Martin Van Buren.

Today, Woodley Park is a very ideal place for families, with its high-quality schools, quiet residential streets, and great selection of local parks and playgrounds. The neighborhood boasts a central location as well, where superb restaurants, scenic outdoor spaces, and public transportation hubs are all just a few minutes away.

Commuting to other parts of the D.C. metro area is very convenient, as the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro station along the Red Line is right at the center of the neighborhood. The area is also served by several bus lines, including the well-known Circulator shuttle bus.

Dining and outdoor recreation

Residents of Woodley Park have a range of exotic cuisines to choose from including Indian, Thai, French, and even Afghan. Some of the most popular restaurants include Open City, New Heights, Lebanese Taverna, and Zoo Bar. For outdoor lovers, there’s the famous Rock Creek Park and Glover Park, two of the most scenic neighborhood parks in the region.
