Majority of the independent establishments in Mount Pleasant are found in a single street – Mount Pleasant Street. Here, you’ll find different retail boutiques, selling everything from clothes, food, and antiques. Don’t expect to find any national chain here – locals like to keep in homegrown.

Drinking and dining

Nightlife is rather nonexistent in Mount Pleasant, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find good eats and drinks in the neighborhood. Dos Gringos is a favorite among vegetarians and healthy eaters. The cultural diversity is Mount Pleasant is well-reflected in the eateries in the area: check out Haydee’s for Latin American flavors. The Raven Grill is another neighborhood hotspot.
