Centreville

Centreville is a census-designated place (CDP) and a suburb located around 20 miles west of Washington , D.C. The area encompasses approximately 12 square miles, and is currently home to about 70,000 permanent residents.

Originally called Newgate during the mid-1700s, Centreville played a role during the US Civil War, due to its strategic location and close proximity to several important roads. Most of the area’s growth occurred between the late 1990s and early 2000s, when major tech companies built offices in the area.

Today, Centreville is an affluent residential community that offers a high quality of life, with plenty of great job opportunities, a thriving arts and culture scene, family-friendly attractions, diverse variety of restaurants, and enjoyable local events.
